Has played violin with various orchestras and string ensembles throughout Cumbria. Active member of Penrith Netball Club, and enjoys running, biking and squash.

Graduated with a LLB (Hons) from Keele University and gained a diploma in legal practice from Nottingham Law School before joining Cartmell Shepherd as a trainee in 2002. Member of firm's Commercial Department since 2004, and became an Associate in 2008.
