Penrith Show 2017

The annual Penrith Show took place at Brougham Farm on Saturday 22nd July 2017.

The Penrith Show has taken place on the fourth Saturday in July since 1834 and always attracts a huge number of visitors.

This year the heavy rain did not dampen anyone’s spirits and the show was a busy event.

Our sponsored classes this year were:

4070 Small Ridden Hunter

4041 Ridden Thoroughbred

2192 Young Handler – Any Sheep

1008 Young Handler – Any Beef (calf)

There were competition classes for farm livestock, rabbits, horses and show jumping.

Cartmell Shepherd had Paddington Bear, a replica beehive and Cumbrian Wrestlers at our marquee as well as face-painting and a children’s activity corner.

We served breakfast both in the marquee and delivering to other stalls and visitors and had lunch for guests from 12pm – 3.30pm.
