Cartmell Shepherd have been working with Handelsbanken to set up the Carlisle Futures group. The group will launch on Wednesday 7th February at Dutch Uncle, Carlisle.
Cartmell Shepherd Trainees Laura Bright and Laura Ousby have been working with Tom Fuller and Will Bell of Handelsbanken to organise the event.
Peter Stafford, Managing Director of Cartmell Shepherd and Jason Smith, Branch Manager at Handelsbanken Carlisle approached Tom and Laura Ousby to set up a “Carlisle version of Penrith Futures.” Penrith Futures was set up about 4 years ago by Jane Jackson and Jonathan Ridley to provide a networking group where young professionals could get to know each other. The futures events range from talks, raft building to archery and still life drawing.
It is an exciting new group for Carlisle’s young professionals and the first event is expecting 90 people to attend.
Laura Ousby said “we are hoping to replicate the success of Penrith Futures here in Carlisle. We want to say a huge thank you to Cartmell Shepherd and Handelsbanken for sponsoring the launch event.”
Laura Bright, also of Cartmell Shepherd added “we would also like to thank the Dutch Uncle for hosting the event and we are looking forward to planning the next Carlisle Futures event.”
The launch night features guest speaker David Martin and has been sponsored by Cartmell Shepherd and Handelsbanken.
The next Carlisle Futures night is planned for the 17th May. For more information please contact Laura Ousby at email@example.com.
