The market town of Brampton is located 9 miles east of the city of Carlisle, lying just off two main road routes, the A69 and A689. Founded in the 7th century, the town is steeped in history.

Just 3 miles away from the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall with Banks Turret and Birdoswald a short distance from the town. Brampton was also home to Bonnie Prince Charlie, whose headquarters was located in the town centre as he progressed south from Scotland with his army in the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745.

Well serviced by road, bus and rail and with ample free parking, Cartmell Shepherd’s Brampton office is situated on the very edge of the town centre at Gill Place, just off Main Street.
