North West family businesses tell their stories to a global audience
November 24th 2020A 24 hour, online global learning symposium event for family businesses was used to engage in peer to peer learning and knowledge transfer.
Through the symposium a community of family businesses from across the world, engaged in peer to peer learning and the opportunity for sector specialists to transfer their own knowledge to new groups.
This unique event was aimed to share informative and educational content, encourage connectivity and positively challenge and enlighten the mindsets of families and those working within family businesses from across the globe.
Sue Howorth and Dave Clarkson from The Family Business Network with our very own Joanne Stronach Director and Head of Employment & HR interviewed Pippa Franklin, Director and Company Secretary from AGMA
Joanne said “It was very interesting to learn about Phillipa’s personal journey with her family business as the next generation and to find out about the impact of COVID-19 on their business with it being in the hygiene goods production sector compared to other businesses experiences during this difficult time.”
Joanne then went on to say “I was thrilled to be part of this new ground breaking event and hope that all those who tuned in throughout the 24 hour period were able to learn something from the many varied contributors that they could use in their own businesses.”
With the whole event being a great success we are told the plans for 2021 are already in place!
