Lake District Mighty Hike for Macmillan Cancer

May 15th 2026

Our very own Carly Davies is once again taking on a Mighty Hike in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, this time pushing herself even further.

Carly, Debt Recovery Manager at Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors, will be taking on the full marathon distance at the Lake District Mighty Hike this year, covering approximately 26 miles around the picturesque Ullswater route.

Previously, Carly completed the half marathon route, which spans just over 13 miles with an elevation gain of more than 3,000 feet. Having already proven her determination, she is now stepping up to the full marathon challenge, an incredible achievement that will test both her endurance and resilience.

The walk takes participants along the scenic Ullswater Way, beginning in the beautiful grounds at Dalemain House and looping through some of the Lake District’s most stunning landscapes before returning to the finish point.

Speaking about her decision to take on the challenge again, Carly said:

“After completing the half marathon, I wanted to push myself even further and take on the full marathon. It’s a tough challenge, but it’s all for an amazing cause, and that keeps me motivated.”

Macmillan Cancer Support provides vital services to people living with cancer, offering medical, emotional and financial support to those who need it most. Events like the Mighty Hike are key to raising funds that allow Macmillan to continue this important work.

Carly is hoping to raise as much as possible through her efforts and would be incredibly grateful for any support.

Good luck Carly, we are all behind you!
