Working from our Haltwhistle office, Miya is experienced with all aspects of conveyancing involving residential sales and purchases, land transactions, covenants, easements, co-owners and declarations of trust. She also specialises in all aspects of law and the elderly client including wills, estate administration and lasting and enduring powers of attorney.

Miya also deals with lifetime gifts, Court of Protection applications and contentious probate and Inheritance Act claims.

About Miya

Miya graduated from Durham University with an LLB (Hons) before gaining distinctions from Northumbria University for her Legal Practice Course and MA in Advanced Legal Practice. She joined Cartmell Shepherd in 2010 as a trainee solicitor, qualifying as a solicitor in 2012.

Miya is a director for the Haltwhistle Film Project. She is also a mentor for students currently on their Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University.
