Claire is experienced in all aspects of employment law, including unfair, wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, redundancies, TUPE, terms of employment and settlement agreements.
She has more than 30 years’ experience in acting for both employers and employees advising on contracts, settlement agreements, redundancies, sickness absence, misconduct and performance dismissals. She has particular expertise in providing corporate support work, advising on the employee aspects of acquisitions, disposals and company reorganisations.
Claire qualified as a solicitor in 1985. She worked for many years in London before joining Cartmells in 2009. She was a made a director in 2012.
Claire has a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Development and is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association, associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and former President of the Carlisle and District Law Society.
