Clocking the miles to raise awareness for Dementia – 14th July update

July 14th 2020

Over the last week Team Cartmells have been busy running and walking for Dementia.  There have been many miles ran and walked by the team.  Below are some updates and stories from the last week of running and walking:

Zoe Calway Director, has managed to get 32 miles on the clock this week bringing her overall total to 60.5 miles already in July.

One of Zoe’s favourite runs this week was her run over Ravenstonedale Common and Orton Scar.  Zoe said she looked forward to getting back to the car after the long 17 mile run however!

Terri Hope Marketing Manager, has managed to get 16.79 miles on the clock this week taking her total to 26.56 miles.

Terri ventured to Tynemouth Beach with her mum and brother which was one of her favourite and most memorable walk/runs of the week.

Despite the miles Terri has managed to clock this week, there were some hurdles along the way as Terri got stuck in a cow jam and then had to rescue a lamb who had its head stuck in a fence!

Claire Wilson Associate Solicitor, managed to clock up 15 miles this week bringing her total to 15 miles … Claire said she is aware she has some catching up to do!

Claire’s favourite this week was a run along Maryport promenade!

Jane Shaw Associate Solicitor, has walked an impressive 41.28 miles this week bringing her total in July to whopping 63.39 miles!

Jane’s favourite walk this week was when she took her friends up Hopegill Head via Ladyside Pike.  At the top Jane was also lucky enough to have a special guest join her for lunch!

Alice Whittome Solicitor, has ran 10 miles this week bringing her total to 20 miles so far in July.

Alice’s favourite run was with her Dad when he came to visit this week … although he may not have enjoyed it as much!

This is a photo of a painted rainbow Alice ran past which certainly brightened up the rainy day!
