The LakesMini is a fun, friendly and fully supported children’s running event designed to give young athletes a fantastic race experience in a safe and encouraging environment. Entry is based on age on the day, with six distance options so every child can take part at a level that suits them.

Every participant will receive:
✅ a finisher’s medal
✅ an event T‑shirt

Event Distances

There are six age‑based events:

  • 400m – up to 5 years old
  • 600m – 6 and 7 year olds
  • 800m – 8 and 9 year olds
  • 1000m – 10 and 11 year olds
  • 1200m – 12 and 13 year olds

The LakesMini is a brilliant introduction to organised sport, with a warm atmosphere, great support, and an enjoyable challenge for children of all abilities.
